Matthew Kemnitz
- Computers? Fixed.
- Websites? Coded.
- Software? Integrated.
- Tools? Automated.
- MS AD? Deployed.
- Firewalls? Secured.
- I have volunteered with the Phoenix Dream Center's IT department since 2012, where I maintain the network, servers, and deploy or create new systems as the needs of the ministry change over time, writing software from scratch if open-source solutions cannot be found or commercial solutions prove too pricey.
- I have been employed by UPS's IT department (UPS GTSG: United Parcel Service Global Technical Support Group) since 2024.
- I was hired to build a website for Kent Chase, PGA in 2024.
What can I do for you?
- I enjoy automating tasks, such as simplifying navigating irksome websites, downloading content that is intentionally made hard-to-save, and clicking buttons that need frequent re-clicking. I also enjoy scripting common computer tasks, like workflow startup procedures, checking the status of various systems, or updating programs that do not have their own update mechanism.
- I find extreme satisfaction in taking two programs that can each perform 45% of a task, and writing the 10% to glue them together into a larger software suite.
- I am skilled at network administration and architecture setup, including VLANs, subnetting, routing, firewall rules, and Microsoft Active Directory including Group Policies.
